The Face of 2084

This is my "Woven Warriror Dress", my favorite collection piece that took me about an entire month to make. Luckily, the shoot went perfectly. I shot at an abandoned strip mall/ skating rink. When I stumbled upon it my heart dropped...I knew it would be the set to bring my piece to life.

With the help of my good friend + make up artst, Tina D'Aneiello, and gorgeously chic friend + model, Kristina Pejovski, we were able to produce a very strong photo shoot. This is the face of my collection. I even made a high fashion mace and chain.

Collection: Rewind

Top feautred in MarieClaireMagazine.com

Creating my first fashion collection has really forced me to do new things as both a fashion designer and a fashion photographer. That being said, I have evolved on a major scale since my time as an art student. I said I would not post much of my collection until after my collection debut in January, but I am growing impatient, and just want to release what I have so far out into the world, one photo shoot at a time.

That being said, BAM! Here is my second shoot for Winter 2084.

As you can also see, I have branched out a little bit into menswear! So now I get to wear my own designs to fashion events.

MARK TAURIELLO MAKES IT TO MARIE CLAIRE

Image: http://www.marieclaire.com/fashion/fashionista-blog/marie-claire-real-style-mark-tauriello

This was on the front page of their website all throughout Fashion Week. Yay!

I feel like if my blog were a child, the government would have taken it away from me due to neglect.
I have been so overwhelmed with finishing my Winter 2084 Collection, Web Site flipping, 2 Art shows including a solo art exhibition, trying to expand Mark Tauriello, on top of being a human being (working numerous jobs, getting my FIRST PAID PHOTO SHOOT FOR A REAL DESIGNER!, a trip to the hospital, and a sprained ankle a week after...which still has yet to heal 100%....getting sick numerous times..and more) I also got a fan letter, which I thought was cool.

The past few months have been unlike any other. Oh yeah I didn't even go over Fashion Week adventures like having singer MIA flake out on me, and having Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue Magazine, bumping into me. I was burned by the devil.

BUT I MADE IT TO THE COVER OF MARIE CLAIRE WEB SITE FOR A WHOLE WEEK! Not going to lie, when I saw my picture up there with my design credits, I screamed all over the place and almost cried. I felt like I earned a small badge from the fashion industry, but you need to earn more than just one badge to become an Eagle Scout.

Check it out!
