Cargo Shorts Must Be Banned!

I really hate shopping for shorts this time of year because it is so difficult for me to actually find a pair that fits me right. I am fairly small for an 18 year old boy. I weigh somewhere in the 120's , and my waiste is about 28 inches. Some people often describe me as being too thin, or skinny as a twig ( thanks to all of you...seriously). Because I am so small, clothes are 9 times out of 10 too big on me. I like the shorts from the 70's that men would wear, they were a wee bit above the knee, slim fit, and came in fun colors. Those are hard to come across. I have a pair of gold shorts from American Apparel, but, I am starting to think that they are TOO short. I like my shorts to sit about an inch above the knee.
Now what I don't understand is why just about every clothing store ( H&M, Express, Old Navy, Urban Outfitters, Target, American Eagel, Gap, Etc.) has only cargo shorts. Seriously...it's lame. First of all, I hate cargo shorts. I think they are absolutely ugly. I don't understand why they have to be so baggy, and have a billion pockets. It's not like 95% of the men wearing cargo shorts are actually going to be in an African Safari in them, or be in any situation suitable for these cargo shorts.
Then there is me. Im tiny, so when I do wear a pair of cargo shorts ( which is incredibly rare) the shorts seem twice as big b/c they are on a thin person. I love plaid shorts, but they even make them into cargo short build.

So me getting shorts is very difficult...and all these stores selling nothing but cargo shorts does not make it easier for skinny boys such as my self.

There will probably be alot of rants about how most clothing stores don't cater to skinny boys.
